Well, I really like stuff and I LOVE Free Stuff, so today was a good day. We had a Sephora open at our local mall, the Independence Center. The first 100 people in the door got a gift card and a mirror. You better believe I was in that group! I won a $15 dollar gift card, which I used on a fabulous Sephora brand lipstick. I also got a free makeup bag for being a "Beauty Insider," which is like the Sephora equivalent of frequent flyer - or buyer - miles. Anyway, it was fun. The music was pumping and practically all the employees had false eyelashes. It is, of course, a known fact that a party can be judged by the amount of people there with outrageous eye-makeup. So, I deem this grand opening a success!
I did productive things as well and whisked myself off to Target to apply for a job on one of their computers. Target could possibly be a cool place to work and getting a discount at a store is always good. :-)
More Later - and keep entering the WIN IT WEDNESDAY contest - drawing this Wednesday!

Minty Fresh!
Well, tonight there are many a thing on this blogger's mind. This week has not been the best for a few reasons. The foremost being that my roommate is in the hospital and sick. (Prayers are appreciated!) The second crappy thing is that I did not make much progress with the job search. No interviews this week and I haven't heard back from places I interviewed with last week. Not good. (More prayers concerning this would be appreciated as well!)
Instead of focusing on the aforementioned topics, I would like to make a big grateful shout out to the inventor of Listerine. I just got done using the new kind, the purple Tooth Defense kind, and it was fantastic. I could practically feel my teeth becoming more protected and defended as I swished away. Wonderful stuff, that Listerine! I remember as a child my dad would bet us fifty cents or a dollar to swish the original yellow Listerine for a minute. This was, nay, still is, a hard challenge. The original Listerine basically tastes like I imagine rubbing alcohol to taste straight up...not so good. So, I am quite glad they have improved upon Listerine for those of us who still desire defended teeth but can't quite hack doing the Listerine Challenge. Yeah flavored Listerine! (Except the weird flavors, like Citrus...what's that all about?! Who wants to feel like they just gargled orange juice to freshen up!) But that is another story...

Thoughts about Christmas Lists and Codeine...
Well, today I made a Christmas List and took some codeine for this migraine I have had for the last two days. Two unrelated topics, but both good things. (not the migraine, but the painkiller...)
My Christmas List can be viewed at the Sharp Siblings blog. I like putting it online because then everyone can access it, but honestly Janae already gave me my Christmas present (in the form of Paypal) so I'm not really expecting much additional Christmas action. Either way, Christmas is lovely.
Codeine is lovely too, but for entirely different reasons. I'm glad it helps me, but can't take too much or I get too tired and itchy. Got to be careful with those narcotics!

The "R List"
The first thing on The "R List" is Etsy.com. Without a doubt, I am a huge Etsy.com fan. If you haven't visited this website, you are missing out. It is a sort of handcrafted mecca or eBay. It is incredible. What is so incredible about it you may ask? Well, for one, my little corner of Etsy.com is pretty great. www.shelleanne.etsy.com

Finally joining the crowd...
Well, it seems everyone has a blog now except for me. So I have gone ahead and created one for myself. An old boyfriend couldn't believe I didn't have a blog because "I'm such a good writer." Ha. Well, I will not claim to be a current literary genius, but I once enjoyed writing and would like to pick it up again. So here is my attempt.
Mostly I want to write about things I like. Wouldn't it be incredible to be Oprah? Every month she gets to make an "official" list of things - the "O List." And everything on that list becomes popular. Well, part of my blog will definitely include the "R List." And the "R List" will kick butt.
